Cowboy/Cowgirl Theme Sunday” Today: Hope some folks are wearing their Western Wear “Go to Meeting Clothes” this Morning. Our Cowboy/Cowgirl Theme Sunday is today. This was very popular last year. Father Steve & Deacon John are “trading in” their traditional vestments this morning, and instead, are wearing Cowboy Hats; Boots, and Jeans. The prelude music this morning is different theme music from various Western TV shows, and movies.

Fall/Winter Adult Education Begins Today: Father Steve has put together a multiple week study on the Gospel of Luke. In our Lectionary Cycle; Luke is the primary Gospel Reading for Year “C”, which begins today. Adult Education will on Sundays around 10:30ish. There will be no Adult Education on Sunday, October 31st.

Samaritan Purse – Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes: Our shoebox campaign is underway. The St. Andrew’s Women’s Group have a great idea for this year. I will have one of the women say more about that today. Collection Sunday is November 14th., only 4 weeks away.

New Youth Ministry “6:02” in Clear Spring: There is a new Youth Group Ministry that involves all of the Clear Spring Churches coming to Clear Spring. We began this ministry this past Friday, October 15th. The next Youth Ministry get together is Friday, November 19th.; St. Andrew’s will be responsible for  the meal/snacks. On Friday, December 17th.; St. Andrews will do the Coffee/Hot Chocolate. We are focusing this new ministry on grades 6-12. This new ministry was initiated by the new Pastor at St. John’s UCC, Rev. Bethany Apelquist. The Youth Ministry meets at St. Johns UCC Church, corner Cumberland & Mill Streets, Clear Spring.

Next CWNW’s Outdoor Service – October 31st. – 11:00 a.m. Father Steve has rented the newer pavilion (by the playground) at Camp Harding County Park for Sunday, October 31st., for our October, Church With No Walls, outdoor service & fellowship. We will also do our Trunk-R-Treat for the children at Camp Harding. We will need a sign-up sheet generated for food. Father Steve will finalize a few things this morning with some folks. The thoughts are to have grilled hamburgers/hotdogs, and people bring covered dishes; snacks, and sodas. 

November CWNW’s – Thanksgiving Service: The November Church With No Walls service will be a pre-Thanksgiving Service. Date will be Tuesday, November 23rd. at 7:00 p.m. CWNW’s has been offered the use of the fellowship building/pavilion at Mt. Calvary Church of God, Clear Spring. More will be said as the date moves closer. CWNW is a Contemporary Style Worship Service that includes Communion. Fellowship with hot/cold beverages & snacks will follow the service.

Thanksgiving Day Service at St. Andrew’s: The Traditional Thanksgiving Day Holy Eucharist will be on Thursday, November 25th. At 9:00 a.m.
