Wednesday & Saturday Evening Services

From Father Steve: “Back in 2019, prior to going on Sabbatical, we had Wednesday Evening Services at 6:00 p.m. If a Feast Day fell during the week, I would do the Holy Eucharist, and transfer that Feast Day Celebration to Wednesday Evening. If a Feast Day did not fall into that week, I would do the Daily Office of Evening Prayer. After returning from Sabbatical, the attendance for Wednesday Evenings dropped very low. Some people said that they just ‘got out of the habit’ of coming to Church on Wednesday Evenings. Several folks have come to me, stating that they really liked the Wednesday Evening Services, and missed not having them. Also, I have been in discussion with other folks in the congregation about the possibility of me doing a Saturday Evening Holy Eucharist. As we know, our Roman Catholic Brothers & Sisters have Mass on Saturday Evenings, in addition to their Sunday Morning Mass. So, as a ‘Trial Run’; I am going to offer the following services which are in addition to our regular Sunday Morning services. It should also be known that the Wednesday Evening Services will be ‘High Church’ Mass (Smells; Bells, and Whistles). We will do Rite I of the Holy Eucharist, including the use of the Anglican Missile. Remember some of these Feast Day dates are transferred from the actual Feast Day.”
